Spurs Outlast Suns, Advance to West Finals

Manu Ginobili racked up 33 points, 11 rebounds, six assists and four steals Friday.

San Antonio's 20-point fourth-quarter lead shriveled to as small as five, but it never disappeared completely and the Spurs used a 114-106 Game 6 victory at home over Phoenix to advance to the Western Conference Finals.

Manu Ginobili scored 12 of his 33 points in the fourth quarter, Tony Parker tallied 21 of his 30 in the first half, and Tim Duncan added 24, 13 rebounds and a career-high-tying nine blocked shots. Only two players - Mark Eaton and Hakeem Olajuwon - have ever recorded 10 in a playoff game.

Amare Stoudemire and Steve Nash scored 15 points apiece in the Suns' 39-point fourth quarter to spearhead the comeback attempt. Stoudemire finished with 38 points and 12 rebounds, and Nash with 18 points and 14 assists.

The Spurs will host the fourth-seeded Utah Jazz for Game 1 of the Western Conference Finals on Sunday at 3:30 p.m. ET on ABC.
