The Jazz didn't want to take any chances with a Game 6 back in Oakland, so they outworked and outhustled the visiting Warriors on Tuesday for their 100-87 Game 5 victory that secured a spot in the 2007 Western Conference Finals.Utah outrebounded Golden State 59-35, and 20 of those boards came on the offensive glass. Four different Jazz players reached double figures in rebounding, including Andrei Kirilenko (15), Carlos Boozer (14), rookie Paul Millsap (12) and Mehmet Okur (10).
Derek Fisher was the lone perimeter play to make an impact for Utah, scoring 11 of his 20 points in the fourth quarter to complete a special series for him personally. Kirilenko and Boozer scored 21 apiece.
Baron Davis, who was huge in the eighth-seeded Warriors' first-round upset of the 67-win Mavericks, closed out his memorable postseason in style, posting 21 points, eight assists and six steals, but didn't get enough support. Stephen Jackson added 16 points, but shot just 3-for-17 from the floor.
The Jazz will visit the winner of the Suns-Spurs second-round series in the Western Conference Finals. Game 1 will be on either Sunday, May 20 or Tuesday, May 22.
